Christoper,

First let me say to all the commenters on this page, yes, yes, and I agree yes.

I was a macromedia fan for a very long time, NOT a fan of adobe in the least.

when this switch happened, I knew that problems would be absolutely unfixable by adobe, adding all their extra CRAPOLA like the "bridge to uselessness".

I'm so damn mad at them, I've completely switched to the free version of MVWD and you wouldn't believe the professionalism of the product. Course I still use photoshop 7 which does what I need it to all the time w/no problems. But for applications, code, css and ftp functionality that works everytime without a HITCH, I'm staying where I am and CS$3 is IN THE DUST>

bugs in cs3 was like upgrading to an expensive piece of crap that aboslutely does nothing but cause problems. I finally got tired of it's crapping out on me, giving that infamous "parameter is not correct" complete freeze up my work application and having to literally reboot out of the program , UGH ICK total frustration. Even the updated w3c validations weren't up to par.

I got nothing out of the software what so ever, and even after complaining to adobe, all they could offer me was that there was a brand new version called DWcs4 (for another $200 bucks!!!!
.......are you KIDDING????) Pathetic poor business model...

HEY ADOBE!
How's about making CS3 FIXED and letting all of us update some miracle patch. Thats what macromedia would do. I miss macromedia so much everyday, and curse adobe for being an uncaring, money racket non-software company that is out of it's league.

Time for users to rise up and move on to more freeware and software that does a MUCH Better job at everything we all seem to require.

I can only rub my hands together and wait for the collapse of their stupid uncaring software team.

Was so glad to hear that you had the same problem with the install! (Not to say that I rejoice in your misery...) I hope that Adobe support can help me/Dreamweaver accept my Studio 8 serial number and get the show on the road!!

Don't know why they wouldn't; DW8 did pretty well with our hand-rolled CSS layouts. Haven't really looked into it, though...

I did want to suggest a cure for your sluggish menus in Dreamweaver on Mac (this has plagued me in the past) is to completely close the "Assets" floating palette as well as "Snippets" (if you don't use them - I don't). This solves the problem completely for me, YMMV. Hope this is helpful.

Cheers!
