Skype is Dead. Long Live Skype

Skype iconSo eBay has bought Skype. Like the good folks at TUAW, I’ve always liked the idea of Skype more than the actual taste of it.

Not that there’s anything wrong with Skype. Not really. At least there wasn’t. It remains to be seen what eBay will do with it. Dan Gillmor’s read of the tea leaves is less than optimistic.

I’d like to think it’ll be something interesting, at least.
